Architecting with VSTS
Presented By Craig Utley
VSTS contains a wealth of tools that go beyond better testing and source code control. Not only do the tools support developers, testers, and project managers, but architects have a variety of tools designed to make architecting both the hardware and the software layers easier. See how the tools support architects by helping them design the physical hardware layout, the logical software layout, and the layout of the objects within an application. The tools for creating the necessary diagrams and validating application schemas against hardware will be examined, as well as how using these tools can integrate into the overall workflow of the project.
ASP.NET AJAX Extentions
Presented By Chris Bennet
The AJAX Control Toolkit contains a variety of pre-built and source code provided components for use on top of the AJAX framework. The control toolkit allows you to have usability as a core focus in your ASP.NET applications. Come and experience the power as we explore the toolkit and example implementations.
ASP.NET AJAX Extensions
Presented By Bill Steele
In this session, you will learn how ASP.NET AJAX fit's in to the development picture. You will learn how to use the basic features, like the ScriptManager as well as more advanced features, like the proper use of the UpdatePanel. In addition, we will explore the architecture of ASP.NET AJAX and gain an understanding of how to best integrate it with existing applications. Lastly, this session will be full of cool demos that help you better understand the capabilities that you need to bring your web application to the next level.
Overview of Software Plus Services (S+S)
Presented By Larry Clarkin
At Mix07, Ray Ozzie introduced the Microsoft vision for Software + Services (S+S). This presentation will describe the vision for software plus services which brings together the power of local software and Internet-based software. Application development in the S+S world will entail a new set of opportunities and requirements for developers, who are dealing increasing numbers of devices and targetable runtimes, while meeting the escalating expectations of the user experiences delivered through software.
Doing Mashups with Microsoft Technologies
Presented By Larry Clarkin
A mashup is a technique for building applications that combine data from multiple sources to create an integrated experience. Mashups have gained popularity within the last few years, swept along with the momentum around Web 2.0. This presentation will the explore history and architecture of mashups, and how you can create mashups for use in your enterprise.
